The Challenge: Fire-Safe Remediation in a High-Rise Residential Development

Goat Wharf, presented a clear challenge: the complete remediation of a high-rise residential building to meet stringent modern fire safety regulations. Following an intrusive investigation by PRP Architects, serious concerns were raised regarding the existing façade materials—including unsuitable insulation for high-rise buildings, non-compliant cavity barriers, and combustible cladding elements such as timber and ply-backed zinc panels.

With 86 flats, commercial units, and underground parking across eight storeys, the building’s size and complexity demanded a robust, non-combustible decking solution that could be seamlessly integrated into the larger remediation strategy.
